What is Form D?

Form D is a certificate of origin used to request tariff reductions under the CEPT (Common Effective Preferential Tariff) agreement. This is a special uniform customs tariff rate that reduces customs duties for goods imported between member countries in the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA). AFTA comprises 10 countries: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia. (more…)

Form A is a certificate of origin issued to exporters to claim special customs tariff privileges. It helps in obtaining exemption or reduction of import duties for goods exported to countries that offer trade preferences, such as the European Union, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, Norway, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Russian Federation, Australia, New Zealand, United States of America, and Belarus.
